Training and Development Managers
Management
Figuring out what employees need to learn, then building or revising programs to cover those needs, is the core of the job. That means talking with managers, running surveys, and choosing methods that fit—classroom sessions, demonstrations, on-the-job practice, workshops, or conferences. Day to day also includes writing manuals and visual materials, running new-hire orientation, coaching instructors and supervisors on how to train, checking whether programs and instructors actually work, and preparing the training budget. Suits people who like designing lessons for adults, tracking what improves performance, and explaining ideas clearly in speech and writing.
