Customer Service Representatives
Office and Administrative Support
Speaks with customers by phone or in person to explain products or services, take or cancel orders, and hear general complaints. Each contact is written down—what was asked, what went wrong, and what was done—and a later check confirms that the promised change actually took effect. Charges, deposits, and billing get figured at the same time, along with contracts, address changes, or stop-service orders on a computer. Problems that cannot be settled here are sent to another department. It suits people who like following set scripts, taking routine calls or visits, and tracking many small follow-ups.

AI & the future of this role
Scripted inquiries, account lookups, and basic complaint handling are well suited to chatbots and automated phone systems. Empathy and messy edge cases still matter in some roles, yet much routine volume may shift away from human agents over the next decade.
