Coordinates internal audits, inspections, license renewals, and the filings products need to gain and keep regulatory approval. Typical work includes assembling submissions for domestic or international projects, answering agency questions, and deciding what extra documentation a device or labeling change requires. Rules and rule changes have to be interpreted and then written into company policies; technical files are kept current. When a product must be recalled or withdrawn, that process is coordinated as well. A preference for close reading, careful writing, and tracing how a rule change affects actual filings is useful here.
