Business Continuity Planners
Business and Financial Operations
Write recovery plans that spell out how critical departments keep running, how people communicate, and which non-essential work can pause after a disruption. The job includes running mock-disaster drills, then debriefing what failed and updating the plans. Some of the work is site-specific: mapping recovery for places with critical assets such as data centers, keeping call trees current, and maintaining blueprints of IT applications and networks. After a real event, the work shifts to coordinating the continuity response. People who like methodical risk analysis, careful documentation, and testing plans before they are needed tend to fit.
