Biofuels Processing Technicians
Production
Batches of refined feedstock and additives are measured, loaded, and processed in fermentation or reaction vessels, then watched as the run proceeds. Valves, pumps, engines, and generators are used to control and adjust production; centrifuges and other chemical equipment pull out finished product and reusable fractions. Samples go to routine lab tests for quality, and flow-meter readings, processing figures, and maintenance or safety inspections are written down. The work tends to fit people who like following a process from mix to test, keeping equipment in good order, and checking that each batch holds to quality.
