Walks the airfield to check that runways, taxiways, and the airport perimeter meet federal rules and stay under controlled access. Puts safety procedures in place, coordinates snow removal, and manages wildlife on and around the grounds so takeoffs and landings stay clear. Relays information between air traffic control and maintenance crews, keeps flight records, and uses weather information and landing or navigational aids as part of day-to-day airfield management. Also helps with aircraft and medical emergencies when they occur. Best when you like outdoor inspections, coordinating several ground crews, and applying safety rules on a working airfield.
