Adhesive Bonding Machine Operators and Tenders
Production
Materials such as veneer sheets, paper, rubber, plastic, or simulated leather are lined up so adhesive or heat sealing is applied accurately. Machines are filled with glue or cement, then valves and controls are set for width, length, thickness, temperature, pressure, and time. After a test run, finished pieces are measured with tape measures, gauges, or calipers, and settings change if the join is off. Malfunctions are watched for and reported or fixed; work orders and talk with coworkers settle machine settings and supply specs. Fits people who prefer tending bonding machines, checking finished joins against measurements, and coordinating adjustments with coworkers.

AI & the future of this role
Bonding lines often involve tending presses, watching glue application, and clearing jams rather than desk work alone. Recipe control and sensors may reduce some oversight, yet material handling, changeovers, and visual quality checks still tend to keep people on the floor.
